Lakshmana Temple in Khajuraho

This temple is dedicated to the divine trinity of Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva LakshmanaTemplalong with Goddess Lakshmi, wife of Lord Vishnu.
Dating from 930-950 AD it is one of earliest Khajuraho stone temples going in Khajuraho. Considering its age, the Lakshmana Temple is remarkably well-preserved; in fact it is one of the best preserved temples of the whole lot.
The inner chamber is dilled with a three-headed idol of Vishnu’s incarnations, Narasimha and Varaha.

Chaunsath Yogini Temple in Khajuraho

Built in the 900 AD this is the oldest surviving temple in the group made solely of granite and ChaunsathYogin dedicated to Goddess Kali.
To the southwest of the Western Group (along a not very congenial pathway) is the Chaunsath Yogini shrine dedicated to the 64 yoginis or manifestations of the Mother Goddess.

Vishwanatha Temple

This is a must visit temple with impressive entrances, magnificent stone guarding its northern steps VishwanathaTemple and royal masonry elephants warding the southern steps. The three headed image of Lord Brahma in the temple is also a captivating sight.
It includes a three-headed image of Lord Brahma, while guarding lions in northern entrance and elephants in the southern makes it more exquisite.
